Who are we?

The Polarettes and Polar Tumblers Gymnastics Club is a volunteer driven, non-profit society whose purpose is to provide recreational and competitive gymnastic programs. It is operated by paid staff, under the general direction of the Executive, which is voted into office in accordance with the Club's constitution. The Executive itself is not necessarily made up of parents, as anyone can serve on it. The names and contact numbers of the Executive are always posted in the gym.

We currently offer a wide range of recreational programs from Baby Movement (6 months), through to advanced boys and girls. Our competitive programs start from pre-competitive (6-8 years' old) and continue up to provincial and national stream. Polarettes is also the best-equipped facility in the north and we are continually working to improve upon it. Our equipment is replaced on a regular basis - mostly through monies generated through fund raising - and we also offer a fully qualified coaching staff to help your child achieve their personal goals in the sport.

Mission statement
It is Polarettes’ mission to promote recreational and competitive gymnastic opportunities through the encouragement of good sportsmanship and support of the desire to participate in the sport at all levels.

Why competitive gymnastics?
While only a very few individuals will ever reach the international level, this sport offers special benefits to all who participate. Gymnastics offers some unique qualities that can have a healthy impact on your child, as it is the only sport that works total body strength, flexibility and aerobic development.

Our professional coaches will use the many different types of movements in gymnastics to teach important physical concepts to the child. Further, the development of self-esteem and the joys of self-expression through body movement are enhanced by gymnastics. Being involved in Polarettes' competitive program will require your child to commit to many hours of training, but it will also offer your child the opportunity to learn personal discipline and to gain tremendous self-confidence as they build individualized goals and accomplishments. Every time your child learns a new skill, their pride will astound you and as their confidence and abilities increase, there will be opportunities to represent the Club in competitions throughout their gymnastics career.
