Our knowledgeable and energetic coaches will determine the true level of their class on week one, by doing circuits or instructed lessons that are built to showcase their strengths and weaknesses so they can determine the true level of the class and goals of the kids. We will then work to teach the kids FUNdamental gymnastics based on the Canadian CANgym Badge program guide. The kids will work specific drills used to teach them the FUNdamentals of gymnastics.

Kids will receive a report card at the end of the session with an outline of areas of awesomeness and areas that they should keep working hard at.  Once mastered key elements, they will progress to the next badge element.

They will also explore advanced motor development patterns, learn to safety land, respect others, listen to their coach, respect the gymnastics facility and develop spatial awareness.

Please note that our report cards at this level are not solely participation based to receive a badge. Everyone will receive a report card, but badges must be earned through skill development. We do assess skill level regularly and do not pass everyone. This can sometimes lead to disappointment and is a great opportunity for our coaches and parents to work together to support and encourage the kids and youth in our programs with great life skills such as goal setting, work ethic, intent focus, failure, success, respect, emotional regulation, disappointment and reward.
