Discover The Yukon Gymnastic Association (YGA): Driving Gymnastics Excellence in the Yukon

Welcome to the world of gymnastics in the Yukon! At the heart of our vibrant gymnastics community lies the Yukon Gymnastic Association (YGA), the Territorial Sport Governing Body dedicated to governing, promoting, and funding the development of gymnastics across the Yukon.

Who We Are

Yukon Gymnastic Association (YGA) is part of the backbone of gymnastics in the Yukon Territory. Comprised of a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, we meet monthly to strategize, oversee, and advance our mission of cultivating a thriving gymnastics environment.

Our Mission

The mission of YGA is multifaceted:

●      Governance: Establishing and maintaining the highest practice and safety standards in gymnastics.

●      Promotion: Advocating for gymnastics to ensure it reaches and inspires as many people as possible.

●      Development: Fostering growth at all levels of gymnastics, from grassroots to elite athletes, through providing funding opportunities, athlete training opportunities, and coaching education resources and courses.

Our Jurisdiction

Our authority is derived from Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique, the national governing body of gymnastics in Canada. Gymnastics Canada delegates the jurisdictional control over Yukon gymnastic clubs to YGA, making us the primary entity responsible for the regional implementation of national standards, policies, and programs.
