Adult Gymnastics

Who is Adult Class for?

  • Absolute beginners who have never touched a beam or bar

  • Former gymnasts looking to reconnect with skills and strength

  • Athletes from other sports (climbers, dancers, CrossFitters, lifters) wanting to expand their movement

  • Parents and adults who want to build strength, mobility, and confidence in a new way

  • Adults returning from a long break who want a safe, supportive space to rebuild foundations

  • Anyone who wants to learn something new, challenge themselves, and have fun doing it

A welcoming space for every body.

Our Adult Gymnastics program is designed for anyone looking to move, learn, and challenge themselves - whether you’re a former athlete, brand new to the sport, or somewhere in between. Our coaches meet you exactly where you are and help you progress safely in a supportive, fun, and encouraging environment.

You’ll train on a mix of traditional Artistic Gymnastics events found in both Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) and Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG):

  • WAG: Floor · Vault · Beam · Uneven Bars

  • MAG: Floor · Vault · Parallel Bars (P-Bars) · Pommel Horse · Rings · High Bar

While these categories are historically gendered, our adult athletes are encouraged to try everything the gym has to offer. Choose your goals, and we’ll help you get there.

What to Expect

  • Please arrive on time and participate in the group warm-up - this is mandatory for safety and injury prevention.

  • We do not allow entry to the training space after 7:15 PM (Because the warm up is a mandatory insurance requirement)

  • All jewelry must be removed before entering the gym (especially rings).

  • Bare feet are recommended for equipment use.

You’ll train at your own pace, build strength and confidence, and enjoy a community of adults who cheer each other on.

Tuesday | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Fundamentals & Skill Development

Tuesday is the foundation night - ideal for beginners and anyone returning to the sport.

What Tuesday offers:

  • A quieter training environment - the full gym is reserved for adults only

  • Structured drills and progressions with clear technical guidance

  • Time to practice, explore movement, and build confidence safely

  • A strong focus on shaping, strength, and the basics that make advanced skills possible

Advanced adult athletes are welcome, too.

Note: While the class emphasizes basics on Tuesday nights, more advanced athletes are welcome to use the space on Tuesday for their own training in a supervised but less structured setting. Tuesday is the best night for this style training, since the gym is otherwise empty.

Wednesday & Friday | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Exploration of MAG & WAG Events

Wednesday and Friday classes run during recreational and competitive programming - thanks to our large facility, there’s plenty of space for shared rotation.

These classes include:

  • A structured but flexible format

  • Continued work on fundamentals

  • Opportunities to try a wide variety of events, including:

    • MAG: P-Bars, Rings, Pommel Horse, High Bar

    • WAG: Uneven Bars, plus Floor and Vault

  • Support for both new and returning adult athletes

These nights are great for skill exploration, hands-on coaching, and discovering new favourites.

A chance to play again.

Adults rarely get spaces where they’re allowed to explore, learn, laugh, and fail safely. This is one of them.

What About Pricing?

Our adult program offers flexible options for members and non-members. Club membership is $50.00 annually and expires August 31st, 2026. This mainly covers club insurance, which renews every Fall - Members also have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting, access to discounts on services and drop-in's, and discounts on merch!

Adults participating in Adult Gymnastics classes need their own insurance/membership, even if they have other family members already holding membership. For example, a parent who comes to Family Drop In as a supervising adult with their child as a "member" (via their child's membership) will still require their own adult personal insurance/membership for the purpose of being a participant in the adult program. This is due to the higher risk level of participation. The non-member rate covers a temporary, day-rate of insurance.

*Highly Recommend* For fastest check in at reception, click here to pre-purchase your membership online before getting to the gym. You can do it in person, but it's a bit slow.

Single Admission

Member: $16.00 (1.5 hour class)

Non-Member: $24.00 (1.5 hour class)

10 Punch Pass

Member: $144.00 ($14.40 per visit)
Non-Member: $216.00 ($21.60 per visit)

Questions?

Do I need experience?

No. Most of our adult athletes are beginners. Classes include clear progressions, technical guidance, and lots of options so you can work at your own pace.

Am I too old or "out of shape"?

Absolutely not. Adults of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds train with us. Movement can always be scaled safely, and our coaches specialize in adapting skills for every body.

What should I wear?

Any comfortable, athletic clothing that allows movement.
Bare feet are recommended.
All jewelry must be removed, especially rings.

Do I have to do all the events?

No! You choose what you want to try each night.
Our coaches will guide you, but you’re always welcome to modify or skip anything that doesn’t feel right.

Will I be the only beginner?

Not at all. Every class has a mix of new and returning adults, and the environment is extremely supportive.

What if I’m nervous about trying something new?

That’s normal.
We use progressions that build skills step-by-step, ensuring you feel safe, confident, and successful at every level.

Can I come alone?

Yes — most adults do!
You’ll meet friendly people quickly, and the community is one of the highlights of the program.

Do I have to pre-register?

No - Just show up on the day of the class, adults can pay a drop-in class rate at our front reception, or purchase a punch pass if planning to attend multiple visits.

Can I train more independently?

Yes. Adults with some experienced can train more independently - though the warm up is always mandatory. Tuesday evenings offer the best environment for supervised but self-directed training while the gym is otherwise quiet.
